An interesting episode on voice. I’ve also heard that iced water is bad for the voice. I think it constricts the vocal chords. Better to stick to room temperature water.

I heard that a piece of green apple helps stop those horrible lip-smacking noises that sound so bad on mic. Never tried it, though. I can’t stand apples!

Another thing about the ‘men V women’ voice thing, Men’s voices are supposed to be more authoritative; hence more male airline pilots. Make of that what you will.

    Excellent podcast, by the way.

      Hi Craig
Thanks for the comment, and I too had heard that about iced water! And I’ll try to keep a bushel of apple pieces nearby in the future 🙂
